A Very Norwich Halloween

During a temporary lapse of judgment, ClmbingDoug, his friend Lisa, and I decided to head to Norwich for a day of Halloween hi-jinks. Needless to say, since it was Halloween they had three times the security, as well as local police scouting the campus for trespassers. We arrived to find the new fence surrounding the entire campus has finally been completed, but bypassed it and entered. Shortly thereafter, our presence was known, and the hunt was on. We had to wait until dark to make our move. We waited out the three patrol rounds, and went for it. We managed to get Lisa under the fence just as we saw the lights from another patrol coming around the corner. Doug and I headed back into the building we were hiding in, and waited for them to pass. When they did, Doug and I both went for the fence, making it over and landing on the ground just as a police unit pulled through, shining his spotlight all over the building we'd just come from. They knew we were there, because they also had a foot unit waiting for us down on the tracks. Lights were shining right over us from every direction as we lay in wait. We saw a moment where everything died down for a minute and made our dash down the hill to the tracks below. We saw the foot unit on the tracks, but he was walking the opposite direction, so we stayed close to the woods and made it away safely. As we drove by the campus on our way home, we saw two marked K9 police pulling in. Looks like we got out just in time.
