The Progression Of Demolition

These were the first shots I took of the aftermath of the fire at Union Wadding. It was taken two nights after the fire, and there were still smoldering hot spots all over the place. We didn't enter any part of the remaining structure, but the damage was more than obvious. There were police blocking both streets leading up to Union, but one didn't seem to notice us pretending to be ninjas and walking right past him. When the other finally spotted us, he wasn't too happy about it.

I don't remember what day these shots were taken, but I know most people still weren't allowed past the police blocking both the streets leading to the building. This is where that whole ninja things comes in handy, again. After uploading these shots to the site, I don't think I actually even edited them, but you guys can just deal with that.

These shots were taken Saturday afternoon. They've torn down the front walls to make the street safely accessible to traffic again, and it's only a matter of time before the rest of this 150 year old beauty comes down as well.

There's a $10,000 reward for anyone with information that leads to the arrest and conviction of the douchebag who lit Union Wading on fire, offered by the ATF and the Pawtucket police. Anyone with information is asked to call the 24-hour phone line at: 401-462-4242. All information will be kept completely confidential and all comments and identities can remain anonymous if the caller so chooses.

  2. I'm glad these shots could bring back some memories. That's the entire reason I have these sites up.
